    Understanding the ACFT (H2)
(Provide valuable, informative content around common user questions)
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army’s demanding physical fitness assessment designed to test Soldiers’ readiness for combat. Introduced in 2018, it replaced the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) to better measure physical capabilities directly related to combat tasks.
The Six Events of the ACFT:
3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL): Measures muscular strength and ability to lift heavy loads.
Standing Power Throw (SPT): Assesses explosive power for tasks like throwing equipment or quickly getting over obstacles.
Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP): Measures upper body endurance, specifically chest, shoulder, and tricep strength.
Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC): Tests anaerobic endurance, agility, and muscular strength for tasks like moving casualties or equipment under fire.
Plank (PLK): Evaluates core strength and endurance, crucial for overall body stability.
2-Mile Run (2MR): Measures aerobic endurance, a fundamental component of combat readiness.
ACFT Standards and Passing Scores (H3)
To pass the ACFT, Soldiers must achieve a minimum of 60 points in each of the six events. The maximum score for each event is 100 points, resulting in a maximum total score of 600 points.
Passing Demands (Categorization – Optional, but good for depth)
    Heavy (Black): 340-600 points
    Significant (Gray): 280-339 points
    Moderate (Gold): 240-279 points
